its been on the rocky outcrop for centuries now and is being preserved by Historic Scotland now. Its built into the bedrock which happens to be one of the hardest rocks on the planet - granite !
Inside the castle the centre square is littered with massive rocky outcrops and is very dangerous to walk on but many a soldier and perhaps royalty have walked on these very same rocks.
The Water you see is the River Forth. It is tidal but not an area that is damaged significantly from storms as the castle is half way up the river.

Is this your house Scotweather lol (joke).Its a very nice castle lets just hope the ocean does'nt destroy it,it would be a shame and a waste of history
